Bookstore Visit: WORD Brooklyn September 10, 2009

Filed under: Bookstore Visits — kidsbookcorner @ 6:10 pm

What could be better than getting to hang out in all sorts of wonderful bookstores? On Tuesday I had the pleasure of visiting WORD, a small but perfectly-stocked 3-year-old bookstore in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. WORD is much fabled in the bookselling community and I had been wanting to visit it for ages. I know three quarters of WORD’s staff: manager Stephanie Anderson (@bookavore on Twitter – visit her blog), owner Christine Onorati, and events-mastermind Kelly Amabile, and this trifecta of girlpower has done quite a lot with their thousand-square-foot store. (Awesome side note: WORD’s logo colors totally match my blog! A match made in heaven, I say.)

Let’s see some pictures!
